It's 1989, and birthday's were an important event to Joey Flevic. That was until he got kicked out of his home the day he turned 18, left to fend for himself in an unfamiliar city with no one to turn to.

Gilbert "Slade" expresses himself as outgoing, cheerful, and positive. However, things weren't as sunny as they seemed on the inside.
