He understands their language- dragonese . But something changed within him in the first year. Literally. His blood has merged with that of a night furies. With this knowledge he set off to find the king of dragons. And he did as well as finding his mother. Sadly the king could give no information with Hiccups situation. Since then he has left his mother and learned how to control one of his abilities, night vision. He has been given many names throughout his little years but is best known as 'the dragon master'.
