Prologue

After 11 year old Laurel tried to leave this world for a better one, she found herself imprisoned and diagnosed with childhood schizophrenia for seeing the mythical creatures everyone else cannot. Laurel wants desperately to leave and live beside the creatures, but can she ever escape with all those nosey nurses around all the time? And what about that new doctor who seems to know too much? Will Laurel ever escape the world that never really wanted her in the first place?
