Prologue

Taylur, known locally for her unique spelling of the name and brilliance in the subject of astronomy, is always locked in her bedroom at the end of the day by her disparaging mother. One day while Taylur is at the local museum on her internship, she falls for a fellow astronomer. They agree to meet in the closed observatory tower every Friday. They talk a lot and fantasize of a different life the two times they meet. But come the Friday three weeks after they first meet, he is nowhere to be seen. Disheartened by his absence, she asks the professor of his whereabouts only to find out of his recurrence of Melanoma. Taylur can't risk escaping the clutches of her mother nor confess her love for him. All she can do is look to the sky and pray for an illumination.
