Description
A mere two weeks after Cas' death, Dean is walking through the Vally of Death himself. Only, he lives, much to his disappointment. A run in with a 6-inch piece of rebar, leaves Dean with a punctured lung, and two brand new scars. But the physical scars isn't what haunts Dean at night. The memory of Cas' confession replays itself every night, reminding Dean of what could've been, would've been, and what should've been. Dean decides early on that has to be the man Cas loved; and to do that, he has to live. So, he goes to AA, starts taking to a therapist, and eventually goes to Anger Management. He's fine. Or... at least that's what he tells those around him. *** Meanwhile in the Empty, Castiel is reliving what he did to Jimmy Novak and his family, as well as Dean's time in Hell. Castiel's grace is still depleting, and when it runs out, he'll be human. And humans don't belong in the Empty.
