the vanderbilt's are an old money family that has been in bed with politics for as long as american history can date back. with one of them now seated as the elected president of the united states, it made them the most watched family in the entire world.

the president's oldest daughter, townes vanderbilt, did not have the quite the same calling for politics as her entire paternal side of the family did. she wanted to be as far away from the entire scene as she possibly can but her role as first daughter prohibits it. it also prohibits privacy. something townes has yearned for her entire life and faced the harsh consequences after suffering the lost of. living under a microscope meant she had no personal life. ever.

sebastian carter, the vice president, second in command to the president, had worked his entire life to be able to achieve the unachievable. especially for someone like him. he held the utmost respect for the office of the president and the first family, he would go to any lengths to protect and stand by them, and all of this was before he became personally 'acquainted' with first daughter, townes.

now they are put under the pressure of choosing whether they want to explore the attraction that they developed for each other at the risk of everyone in the white house's career and reputation or just let it go, like every other time townes thought she was in love.
