During episode 6 of Sonic Prime, what if Sonic lost all hope of getting back to his dimension with his REAL friends?

Sonic travels the shatter realm with his new best pal Nine. Nine shows sonic a new dimension, one that is absolutely breath-taking. The two venture forth this newly found discovery and want to make it their new home, a home Sonic lost and a home Nine never had.
