Forget me, forget me not

Ink and PJ always had a rocky relationship: when PJ was little, Ink really dropped the ball as a parent, and now their bond is strained and fragile.

If you love something, set it free.

That's how the saying goes, and when PJ argues with Ink and tells him they wish he'd forget them, so that they wouldn't have to deal with him anymore, Ink decides he wants to honor his child's wish. It's the least he can do.
