Chapter One

Piero looked like an Italian prince, his deep set brown eyes had a dull glow under the moonlight. His long lashes cast a shadow on his face as he looked down at her.

"I didn't want to keep you waiting. My Nonna was cooking dinner, so I hurried out." She said quickly. She could feel her heart racing.

He pulled her closer. "I would happily wait for you." He said, smiling at her. His eyes were closed as he leaned in to kiss her.

This is it. This is it. Marilyn thought frantically as she crossed her fingers. Piero's face was a breath away from hers.
