Two months into Edward's disappearance, Bella finally understands: she will never see him again.

Not content with letting the memory of him die, and having no intention of staying a human, Bella heads to the Port Angeles book store in hopes of finding where other vampires may be.

There is one name that lures her: Mystic Falls. The promise of other vampires, and maybe... just maybe, finding her way back to Edward one day, is enough for her to leave Forks and head to Virginia.
