In which, the Princess Iralan has fallen ill from an assassination attempt, leaving a crucial position of House Atreides vacant. After a long period of discussion with the head of House Occari, Duke Leto II agrees to marry his fourteen year old son, Paul, to twelve year old Nadira, who will have to quickly adapt to life away from home in order to keep her newfound role as Duchess.
