Chapter 1 Realising

After Wednesday saves Nevermore Academy, Wednesday returns once again. We are introduced to Xavier's brother Jayden who isn't the kindest boy. We are also introduced to the one and only Ashley Parker.

When something breaks out between Jayden and Enid; Wednesday and the group take it upon themselves to collect evidence against the boy. But other than that, the tension between Enid and Wednesday becomes stronger. Wednesday felt extremely overprotective, possessive even.

Why was it that important to Wednesday to keep Enid safe?

And why was she willing to take such risks.
