The virus spread like wildfire, the first symptoms weren't a huge worry; mild irritation, trembling, migraines, nothing much worse than a bad case of the flu.it was what came later that caused all this. After 24 hours, the virus quickly spread to the brains of the victims, causing all memories, personality, morals and values to be erased, the brain rendered useless, nothing remained other than mush, turning any person into a husk of what they once were.
People in media, in fictional writings, in movies, called them zombies
But the survivors that still roamed the earth had another name for the creatures.
