Chapter 1: Go and talk to him

Tails conducts an experiment on Knuckles. This goes wrong and he becomes a cat.
But how can he, as a cat, fulfill his mission to protect the Master Emerald?
And then Eggman appears, who doesn't really leave Knuckles alone either.
Will Sonic, Tails and their friends be able to transform their fiery comrade back?
