He glared at her with an icy expression and remarked, "What am I supposed to do with you, my love?"

Fear enveloped her, but she summoned some courage and pleaded, "Please let me go. My children need me. They are so young, and they can't survive without me, please."

Tears streamed down her beautiful amber eyes, but she tried to restrain her emotions in front of the man. The thought of her little ones made her feel choked and despondent. The man seemed affected by her sorrowful sobs, yet he disregarded her and spoke with a bitter smile, "You should have considered all this when you were running away with that bastard."

Feeling shocked, hurt, and angry, she retorted, "Do you even realize what you're saying? Do you have any evidence for your allegations? How could you think so little of me? We've been together for almost three years. I always believed that you loved me. This isn't love because love is built on trust. I had faith in our relationship, never questioning your loyalty, never asking why you came home late at night, why you seemed to hate me so much, or why you left me on our first night. Yet here you are, tarnishing my reputation without any proof."

Ignoring her questions and twisted words, he tightened his grip on her neck as his eyes turned red. "Trust is a big word for you, my love. You talk about faith. It was my faith in love that kept you alive. If someone else were in your place, I wouldn't hesitate to kill them."

Struggling to break free from his choking grip, she fought desperately. Suddenly letting go, he turned away and marched off, his anger evident, never glancing back.

Coughing and gasping for air, she remained in a disheveled heap. Tears clouded her vision as she felt like a broken soul. The nightmare her life had become was over her head.
