Nick's been in Firebend for a while now and he can't believe how much his life has changed since he left the city dome and his former existence behind. He has such great friends now, a home where his talents are appreciated, and a partner he adores. So when he reads about a holiday that people used to celebrate before the Blast, he starts planning a way to show his gratitude to all the people who've helped him in his new life. He especially wants to show Zander how much he cares for him. But Zander's a born cynic and not all that comfortable expressing his feelings. And he absolutely hates surprises.
