Excerpt from the story: "A young girl, about 17, huddled in the back of her cell, ignoring the plate of food set in front of her. She was muttering to herself and trying to get her hands free from the special cuffs HE had given her. She didn't know why he wanted her so badly, or why he did THAT to her, but she could guess." _______________________________________________ Maddie has been kept captive by a man known as Slade for a very long time. She knows he wants one thing from her, and then he'll discard her as soon as he gets it. But, a group of heroes unwittingly help her escape the clutches of the deranged man. Will she be able to stay free? What of the heroes who unknowingly helped her? Will she find a place among them, or will they discard her like Slade was inevitably going to? ______________________________________________ No matter where you go, or who you hide behind, I will not stop until I get you back.
