Over half a decade later they don't recognize each other, but constantly feel déjà vu. Eventually they do remember their past, but will they have enough time to untangle their mess of emotions with threats of war hanging over their heads? Could be platonic or romantic AlbeCale, you pick. I think the most endearing thing they will do is maybe hug, so deciding the nature of their relationship is up to the reader. (They also bond over terrorist attacks, traumatic rumors, and kidnapping attempts, if that counts) Disclaimer- includes scenes that may not be appropriate for young readers.
