After their honeymoon in Newport, Cora and Robert are trying to shake a rather crazy almost sadistic man(serial killer, H H Holmes) who wants to use Cora as a subject for his traveling show. He's obsessed with her when he sees her in Newport. They get trapped in a cave out west then separated.
