Iris Finch has never known life outside the castle walls, just the back breaking work of being a servant working under the High duke of Canalade. She has never before ridden a dragon, battled a Urix, or stood face to face with the legendary Iron phantom. But when she found an old chest underneath a brick in her room, her whole world would never be the same again. She ventures beyond the castle walls and braves many dangerous and powerful creatures that share the land they all call home. But if she fails, the world will never again know the touch of a human.
