Prologue

"Kate!" He shouted. I wanted to answer him, but that would be fatal for me. The man in all black held a gun to my temple, growling in my ear to not make a sound. I stared straight ahead, willing him to bust through the door and save me from this nightmare. I could hear his steps getting closer and the doorknob started to jiggle. But once the door swung open, all of the hope immediately drained from my body.
