Chapter 1

Fresh off a heartbreak, Kate decides she needs a break from reality for a bit. Her friend talks her into taking a couple of weeks off to spend time with family in the Smoky Mountains. Kate wants R&R, nature, family time, and, most importantly, no romance. However, she didn't account for Lincoln in those plans, and when he sees something he likes, he goes after it. He's looking for a good time, and she couldn't be less interested. He cannot determine why his usual moves are not working on her. They both have hurt they need healing from. Maybe each other is the healing they need.
