They are lurking in the shadows. You go shopping at Silver Mall, as you do every weekend. But today was different. As you're shopping, the lights flicker off. You excuse it as a simple blackout, until you hear a scream, then a disgusting crunching sound followed by more screams. You didn't want to stick around to figure out what was the reason for the noises, but you were unfortunately met face to face with one of the things that you assumed caused them. A large, black, monster with ruby red eyes stands in front of you on all fours. Its legs and arms are bent in unnatural ways. You can't scream, you stand frozen in place, locking eyes with the creature. That is, until it lets out a loud scream-like roar. You panic, and run as fast as you can. It must've got distracted somewhere along the way, allowing you to catch your breath. The military closed the mall off, allowing nobody out or in. You spend weeks of your life in the mall, hiding from the monsters. You just want to see the sun again, or another person.
