"Forever is the sweetest con" - Taylor Swift (Cowboy Like Me) Perrsausse and Jessica are normal(ish) teens, struggling to find their way in life. Follow them as they discover love, pain, sexuality, and mental illness. *** Perrsausse Becker-Jones has struggled with mental illness all her life. She and her younger sisters were taken away from their parents at a young age, as well. Being the oldest, she felt a sense of responsibility over her sisters, causing her to suppress all of her emotions and mask her ADHD, anxiety, depression, and BPD until she becomes a teen and is no longer able to hold them in. Her struggles with mental health have greatly impacted her self-worth and her relationships with those around her. She has struggled with making and maintaining friendships all her life, especially after she was put into foster care and moved around until she was older. When she meets Jessica Juárez--a shy and bookish new girl who also struggles with her own mental state, though in different ways--she finally finds someone she can relate to and have a good friendship with. Being much more impulsive and a bit more outgoing than her new friend, Perrsausse sweeps Jessica along for the ride of a lifetime; high school life. While Jessica is not involved in many of the typical "high school activities" that Perrsausse enjoys to involve herself in, she gets to hear all of the details. But, little does Perrsausse know, Jessica has been struggling, too. Join them as they navigate the stressful rollercoaster that is high school, while also battling their own "inner demons" and their complicated love lives that could come at an ultimate cost.
