Prologue

Soon after (Y/n) left the ninja to go back home, she stopped hearing from Cole. Unanswered letters and words left unsaid filled (Y/n)'s life. Eventually, she stopped trying. Life continued on, and he was just a memory in the back of her mind. Besides, she had lots of other things to focus on. Like her father's declining health, and her training.
But, after getting an unannounced knock at the door, and hearing a familiar voice on the other side. once again her life is impacted by Cole Brookstone in a brand new way.
