It's funny, isn't it? That when the whole world decides to become infected with a brutal and fatal virus, the real monsters are the ones still alive? Blake Finnegan lost most of his life before the apocalypse anyway. So for him, it's no problem. But can a group of four just as tormented teenagers change his perspective?

"What do you want from me?" I sneer, not cowering when he steps closer to me.

"Not anything really." He shrugs.

"Then why are you keeping me here?" I ask - suddenly more angered by his nonchalance.

"You're unique," He says, "I like collecting unique things."

God damnit. If only I could have been as interesting and unique as I am now in my old life. Things would have been so much more enjoyable. I'd have probably been popular. Happy. Liked. But nope. My sudden apparent appeal decided to jump out in the middle of an apocalypse.
