In the world of Ivory Dawson, which is London of the 19th century, once a woman turns sixteen, she has six nights in which she has to prove herself.

However, when Will, a childhood friend of her older brother makes an appearance in town, he makes her question if that's what she truly wants - a safe life, rather than an exciting one. And when the son of the queen unexpectedly shows up, Ivory gets caught up in a twisted intrigue which will ultimately lead to her loosing her heart.
