The Milkovich family hates the Gallagher Family. The Gallagher family hates the Milkovich family.

Mickey Milkovich is supposed to hate Ian Gallagher and Ian Gallagher is suppose to hate Mickey Milkovich.

Unfortunately for the two men, their hatred turns into a modern day version of Romeo and Juliet, except that Mickey and Ian are gay and they both strive for their "Happily Ever After". Ian is slightly out in the open about his sexuality and unfortunately for Ian, Mickey is still closeted.
