Prologue

A Slytherin struggles with the stigma attached to her house. She has the ambition expected of her. The drive to rise above obstacles, all of it. But, she does not wish for the same path, a burning secret she keeps clutched tight to her chest. The heavy weight of her parentage haunts her, preventing her from reaching out to what she truly wants above all else. A friendship, maybe more, with the kind, gentle Neville Longbottom. Starts in fourth year.
