In order for Zoom to save his son (Hendrick Zolomon) from Godspeed. He had to send his son into a different earth were he would be safe from Godspeed.

Hendrick was alone in this world and had nobody until he was found by Rorschach and the Watchmen. The only father figure he ever had in his life was Rorschach, but since his death he had no one to turn to. Until suddenly the speed force opened, and everything had been revealed to him. His past, his parents, his real home.

With no other option he had to leave, and go home to the future of Earth-1. Where he was originally from. Hendrick will be faced with hate, but along his journey he will come across people who don't see him as a monster, but as something else.
