Marissa: "During my college entrance interview, when asked the million-dollar question of all time in the history of medical students' interview (Why do you want to become a doctor?), I answered (quite proudly) - "the human body fascinates me. I want to engage in the complexities of it all," which now, looking back, was an embarrassing answer because not only the human body no longer fascinates me, but it was also kind of disgusting. I bet the sole reason why the interviewers did not bother asking me to elaborate on that answer of mine was because (a) it was their millionth time asking that question, and (b) the answers that everyone gave were just as pretentious as mine (drum roll "my grandmother had cancer, died from it, and I want to become a doctor to cure cancer"). That's my story, in short. I hate this field and this career with every atomic particle in my body that is capable of such emotion. The same cannot be said for Riyaz. I bet if we were born to look like our destined careers, he would've cut the way through his birth canal with a scalpel.
