Mara is a siren, a ruthless predator of the sea. She is one of the most beautiful and deadliest among all of her people. But having both immersive beauty and great power comes at a price. She is unable to feel any compassion, empathy, or love, which is the reason why she's strictly solitary.

However, after the sailors that Mara used to feast upon have suddenly gone missing, she goes hunting near shore. Instead, of luring a pathetic human into her claws, She has accidentally enchanted something much worse than a human. A cold-blooded being that her people have rivaled against for centuries. A vampire. And unfortunately for Mara, this vampire is not like any other.
