Mother of Wolves (a story from Sanna's life)

Sanna, a skin-shifting stranger, arrives at the island of Roanoke. She lives her life as a Native American goddess, dressed in wolf skin, until settlers from the Old World show up.
Sanna, seeing the colonizers, falls in love with being human. She captures and skins a young woman, and, donning her skin, takes her place in the colony, unaware that she is about to become the source of one of history's greatest mysteries.
