a story exploring loss and recovery through forging new relationships and rekindling old. a take on trauma, on music's effects on healing, on the impact others can have on your life- good and bad. combatting trauma with love and music. learning to respect and love yourself. forgiving yourself and understanding that it is not your fault. shedding tears of laughter and of sadness. mourning, healing, growing. taking the good with the bad and knowing that you will make it through. TRIGGER WARNINGS: suicide, self harm, dealing with death, parental neglect/abuse, paranoia, PTSD, hallucinations, underage drinking, unhealthy coping mechanisms, drug use, past sexual abuse/assault, etc. please read at your own discretion and take care of your mental health! my stories usually aren't very graphic with the dark themes they cover, but this one uses more vivid (though still slightly flowery) descriptions than normal to convey the mental state of the main character. let me know if i've missed any trigger warnings and i'll add them! it is not all angst, as life rarely is just good or bad. i'm trying to push my writing with this story a bit, but there will still be a decent amount of fluff (and a slightly cringy attempt at exploring music as a coping mechanism through a written medium. which, is kind of hard.
