When he first transmigrated, Kim Yoojin was mildly confused and thoroughly creeped out by where he was. A place where the entire human race was subjected to terrors of "gates" that are at constant risk of it breaking out. If that wasn't bad enough, he woke up with a system panel telling him that the ultimate goal was to 'Top the Protagonist'.

Was this system forcing him to steal the protagonist's limelight or something?
