One day, Dusty's sister Scarlett takes the horse out for a ride in the forest just beyond her home's backyard. A couple of hour's later, and much to Dusty's horror, the horse comes back alone.

Setting off into a forest that's filled with more horrors than it is wonderments, Dusty struggles to adjust to his increasingly bizarre reality - one that introduces him to the dark evils lurking behind the world's artful deception of magic.
