Chapter 1

The desert has given Oasis life, sheltered it for generations. Now, it separates it from the rest of society, leaving its denizens to wonder if anyone else is left in the world. Each night, the Black, an endless tide of unknown monsters, rises from the shadows to lay siege to the city's walls. It takes the entire army of Oasis to keep them alive, to continue the city's heartbeat for just one more night.

But something dark is spilling forth from within the corridors of the slums, something sinister, discovered by a pair of riflemen on a wayward night out. And it is something that threatens to tear apart this final bastion from the inside.
