Troubled Maurya is recently released from being institutionalized her whole life. Oliver has done something he regrets and attempts to escape his punishment. The two meet on a greyhound bus to Oklahoma both trying to put distance between themselves and the people they were. Disillusioned with other people and looking for change, they begin to converse. However, a shocking discovery leads the two to spiral, abandoning the progress they made, and enter a toxic codependency that hinges on what they both swore to leave behind.
