Description
Branwen "Raven" James was completely and entirely alone when her best friend moved away. Instead of attempting to socialize at school during her junior year, she frequently visited a record shop as her escape from the world. Coincidentally, a boy her age works there, Ezra Lawrence, and over time, she got to know him better. He became her best friend, though she assumed he cared very little for her. During the summer before her senior year of high school, she runs into someone she has never seen before: a gorgeous boy, new to the town. She is drawn to his magnetic energy. But little does she know, her life is about to get more chaotic. Raven never thought she had feelings for her only friend, Ezra, until she sees him for the first time with a perfect girl who is everything Raven could never be. Raven must deal with her conflicting feelings and fear of rejection. Because if she does not sort out her life, she may lose the only two people she has. And she must realize that in order to love someone else, she must love and accept herself for who she is. She must not let her self-doubt and self-consciousness, courtesy of having no friends, get in the way of her future.
