Lila and Aelin have both had their far share of adventures but both in completely different places, yet this never stopped the two sisters from finding each other again.

When all seemed to be quiet and it looked as if Will Scarlett could finally kick back and relax, the world start quaking literally and now the universe appeared to have over plans for the Knave of Hearts.

Now with the past coming back to haunt and and a tip from an old friend, Lila must return to the land where she lost her heart, a land that Will is also being dragged back to. With her sister needing her help and her old friend getting dragged into what he sees as a disaster, Aelin chooses to accompany the pair seeking her own new adventure.
