It all happened 5 years ago, when a sudden outbreak occurred. An unknown disease managed to wipe out 75% of humanity, turning many into lifeless man-eating zombies that most people referred to as corpses.

Kakyoin had been living in a dark forest alone for those 5 years, killing corpses and searching for atleast another human being around him.
