Chapter 1:

Alex moves to a new school after failing out of his last one. He starts out playing it off as no big deal that he's struggling again. Until the school pairs him up with a tutor. A girl called Sephora . Sephora is fighting her own battles with bullies. She tries to shrug it off with, "that's what happens to a visibly trans girl."
But Alex decides he's not having it, being a stealth trans boy himself, and takes it upon himself to help her. Things are rocky and the two hit some bumps in the road but then they start to form a bond that feels stronger than bullies and grades put together.
