After coming out as a lesbian to her whole family, Anita is determined to prove them wrong and show them that she's capable of getting a girlfriend before their next reunion. Unfortunately for her, she's so far been unsuccessful in doing so.
Desperate, Anita turns to her ex-best friend, Mason, days before the reunion and asks her to play pretend and be her girlfriend: which should be easy because it's not like it's real or anything, right?
