Everything gets turned upside down and what seemed to be a quite normal trip suddenly turns out to be life changing, challenging and at the same time, absolutely wonderful. -- My heart was still beating hard inside my chest. Part of me wanted things to just end there and then. Maybe it was enough just to have someone see something extraordinary in you. Maybe it was enough for my ego to hear those words. Maybe all of the impossible scenarios running through my mind was enough to live on for some time, or maybe, just maybe, I wanted more. Looking back, I truly believe my heart made the decision for me as I found myself reaching out my hand and placing it under his chin, forcing him to raise his head and look at me. "But what do you want to happen now?" -- -- I continued to hold her hand as we went back to the table for dessert and I didn't want to let her hand go. In fact, I never wanted to let her go and my heart, feeling five times bigger, suddenly hurt. It hurt like hell because I knew that even if I didn't want to let her go, I had to. It hurt like hell because of the way she looked at me and because of the way I felt when I looked at her. It hurt like hell because I knew that she was so perfect, perfect for herself and perfect for me but she was not for me to keep. She was someone I was only allowed to borrow.
