The mermaids of Antlantia were known for their predator skills and tactics. It was said that the birth of a merman were seen as a sign that the mother gods were angry and therefore they sought to killing every birthed merman. When Rebeka discovered she was to conceive a merman she traded her tails for legs so she could flee with her unborn child.
