Hesitation. I saw him look at the floor for just a moment. When he stared in my eyes again, it was full of hurt.

"Tell me that you love me."

I wanted to say it. I really did. But for the next few, long seconds I just kept my gaze on him with my mouth slightly open from surprise.

I scoffed lightly and looked away. "...Really?"

It was painful how he waited for something else. How he walked away with unfallen tears in his eyes. How I watched the ground while he did all that. And let him walk away from me.
