Book 1 of the "Songbird" series

The Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School is the school for the best of best of Naval Aviators. Lieutenant Pete "Maverick" Mitchell and Lieutenant Junior Grade Nick "Goose" Bradshaw are called up and move to California to attend. Carole shows up for a visit bringing Goose's son Bradley and Maverick's daughter y/n. After an accident during a training regimens leads to the death of one of their own, Maverick's life with his daughter is flipped upside down. Wether it is for good or not is up to him.

Bradley and y/n are the best of friends. When they go 8 years of not seeing each other, it's no shock that they pick up where they left off at 4 years old.
