Chapter 1

Amber Woods is no ordinary girl. While some girls are more worried about what color shoes they will wear, Amber believes that there should be more to the world she lives in, and wants to be out of the little "Cage" she calls home.
The place that Amber lives in is no ordinary place: there are many wonders there. Statue people, named "Safeguards" protect everyone in Ambers little town from "The Outside," because no one knows what's out there. Amber is determined to find out what lies beyond but before she can, there is a terrible accident that drives everyone out of their only known place of refuge.
With the help of her friends and her admirers, Amber discovers a world that she could of never imagined.
