Description
Michael Bailey is a twenty-nine-year-old insomniac in London. He still lives with his parents, he pretends to go to work in the morning, and spends most of his days and nights perusing the local pubs. One day, Michael's father gives him a plane ticket to Los Angeles. It's his intention to get rid of the boy so he can have a romantic weekend with Michael's mother, Martha, but Michael is the one who ends up having the time of his life. Shortly after landing, Michael meets Alex, a beautiful and enigmatic woman about his age. He is wary and confused as to why such an enchanting woman takes an immediate liking to him, so he figures that he must still be on the plane, and it's all just a dream. Lovestruck, Michael is determined to make this a dream he'll never forget. Driven by a new sense of confidence, he treks across Los Angeles with Alex, having often hilarious encounters with a cast of colorful characters.
