I heard a knock at my front door, I froze; instantly knowing who it was and what they wanted. A deal is a deal though. I went to open the door . There , on the other side , stood Blake in the Birthday sash and crown that I decorated him in earlier before him and his friends left for the roller rink.

Neither of us said anything, I just stepped aside and let him in. Once inside I closed the door behind him and followed him to my bedroom and closed that door as well. He took a seat at one end of the bed and I at the other. It was silent once more until I decided to speak first.

"What are you doing here, you're supposed to be at the rink with your friends for your birthday?"

"Eh , I get a birthday every year but I may never get this chance again." Blake moved from his spot on the bed and replanted himself next to me , our thighs touching.

"I appreciate them taking me to one my favorite places to celebrate but tonight I have something more important to attend to."

"Even more important than the day the earth was blessed with Blake Elliot Maxwell?" I teased

He just smiles and grabs my hand and holds it while holding my gaze. He stared deep into my eyes. "Reese, what we have is so special and rare and I feel it and I know you do too."

" Blake I told..." I tried until he interrupted me. "I can't wait another year, Reese. In fact I don't want to and I know you don't either"

He's right.

At this point, I physically could not take the constant wanting and practically needing to feel Blake's lips on mine and his body on top of me. I couldn't wait any longer but I was willing to if it meant I got to keep my job.

I don't think think I have that option anymore.

He released my hand and cupped my cheek. Pulling me in ever so gently.

"Tell me I'm wrong" he asked already knowing the answer. I shook my head in response.

"Whatever happens, the fallout, we'll deal with it together, okay ?"

I nodded my head in response and that was all the consent he needed.
